“I wish to go to George Strait’s Team Roping Classic & Morgan’s Wonderland”
Sam, age 18
Wish Adopted by: Ronald & Nancy Legere
18-year old Sam loves horses, roping, rodeos, and anything that involves George Strait. He also loves amusement parks. Sam was referred to the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, which he continues to battle with the support of his family. When given the opportunity to have a wish, Sam shared that he wished to go to San Antonio, Texas to attend the George Strait Team Roping Classic, and visit Morgan’s Wonderland, an all accessible theme park designed for people with disabilities.
Sam’s wish came true when he and his family traveled to Texas for a week of adventure. At the George Strait Team Roping Classic, Sam enjoyed watching the events and even got to meet George Strait! And at Morgan’s Wonderland he spent his time riding the carousels, playing in the Butterfly Playground, and relaxing in the Garden Sanctuary. Other activities included a tour of the Enchanted Springs Ranch, and a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown San Antonio.
Sam and his family will always treasure his amazing wish experience and look forward to sharing the memories they created forever.
