“I wish to have a music room with a red drum set”
Grasyn, age 5
5-year-old Graysn is like any other typical little boy who enjoys playing on his Wii and IPOD Touch, watching movies and eating macaroni and cheese. However, Graysn’s true passion is music. He is never happier than when he is singing and break dancing along with some of his favorite songs and artists, like Justin Bieber.
“I love to sing and dance and can memorize songs. I have a great memory and love to learn,” Grasyn says.
What sets Graysn apart from most boys his age is his diagnosis of an epidermoid tumor on the right side of his brain. “My best friend suggested I contact Make-A-Wish,” his mom Meghan described. Volunteer wish granters soon met with Grasyn and his family.
After thinking about what he loved most to do, Grasyn wished for a drum set. More specifically, a “red electronic red drum set…with flames!” This decision was inspired by his uncle, who also has an electronic drum set and lets Graysn play with him.
To make this wish an unforgettable experience for Graysn, the Make-A-Wish team and Guitar Center provided a rock’n’roll setting for the budding musician. Music-themed wall decals, a karaoke machine, a mirror ball, and bedroom set completed the new look of his room.
