There are many ways that individuals and businesses can support the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego throughout the year:

1. AS AN INDIVIDUAL

  • Cash Contributions
  • Adopt-A-Wish
  • Planned Gifts – wills, bequests, annuities, etc. Learn more here.
  • Tributes or Memorials
  • Workplace Giving – United Way and CFC: Please consider designating the Make-A-Wish Foundation in your workplace campaign.

For federal employees, our number is 8106.
For United Way, our number is 96351.

2. AS A BUSINESS OR ORGANIZATION

  • Sponsor an Event – We offer many sponsorship opportunities with our various special events, each offering great recognition for sponsors. Visit our Calendar to learn more about upcoming events.
  • Adopt-A-Wish – The average cost of a wish is $7,000. Businesses, organizations or individuals can underwrite the cost of a wish with a cash contribution. Wish sponsors receive recognition in our quarterly newsletter, a photo of their child, and a recognition plaque. Click here to learn more.
  • Matching Gifts
  • Host Your Own Fundraiser – You can designate Make-A-Wish as the beneficiary of your own special event. Click here to learn more.
  • Hold a Wishmakers At Work workplace giving campaign.

 

3. AS A SCHOOL OR YOUTH ORGANIZATION

Kids For Wish Kids (K4WK) provides an opportunity for students to get involved with Make-A-Wish by planning their own events and fundraisers to adopt wishes. If you are student or representative of a school or other youth orgranization, click here to download our K4WK interest form. 4. DONATE AIRLINE MILES

You can donate your airline miles to children who are traveling as part of their wish. Over 50% of our wishes involve some type of air travel. Airline Programs that will honor your request to donate frequent flyer miles include Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, US Airways and United Airlines. 5. CAR DONATION – WHEELS FOR WISHES

By donating your car, truck, boat, trailer or camper, you can help us grant wishes, while enjoying the easiest car donation process available.

Donating can be done in one of two ways:

  • Click here to complete a Wheels For Wishes online form.
  • Call 1-855-661-WISH (9474). A Wheels For Wishes operator will ask you a few questions, arrange for the pick-up of your vehicle, and then mail you a packet of paperwork.

6. IN-KIND DONATIONS

Perhaps you would like to donate items that can be used for wishes, merchandise for our special events, or services.
