“I wish to ride down a big waterslide”
Faith, age 5
Faith’s sense of fun and play comes through no matter what she’s going through. She enjoys singing Hannah Montana songs, eating ice cream, and watching her favorite shows on the Disney Channel.
Only five, Faith has been living with a complex heart defect since birth. She has had several heart surgeries and faces more in the future.
When wish-granting volunteers at Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego asked Faith about her wish, the young girl shared her dreams of going down a waterslide and meeting her favorite characters. “I’ve always wanted to go on a Disney cruise, even when I was in the hospital,” Faith said.
Faith’s wish began with a flight to Florida with her family, to board the Disney Wonder at Port Canaveral for a four-day cruise. Then the fun began! Faith spent hours in the pool with her brother Josiah, enjoyed all sorts of ice cream, and posed for photos with Snow White, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. One of her favorite moments was sliding down the huge Mickey Mouse waterslide! While at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, Faith searched for shells in the white sand with her mom.
“Thank you for offering me my wish, it was the best time of my life,” says Faith.
