CONCERT FOR WISHES
Saturday, August 14, 2010 @ Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center
Join us for the inaugural Concert For Wishes. Local bands will perform at a benefit concert in the Dorothea Garfield Theatre at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in La Jolla, beginning at 7:00 PM. Net proceeds will be used to grant the wish a special Make-A-Wish child. Click here for more details.
STAY CLASSY FIRE RUN
Sunday, August 29, 2010 – La Jolla to Pacific Beach
The 3rd Annual Fire Run, presented by Stay Classy, is a scenic 4-mile run/walk along the shore, starting in La Jolla and ending in Pacific Beach. The event begins at 8:00 AM on Sunday, August 29th and is followed by a celebration at PB Bar and Grill. Make-A-Wish is one of the beneficiaries – each registration includes a $5 donation to us! Join the Make-A-Wish Committee for Cause and Connections (3c) for a swanky evening of “Cocktails & Cards” at Sway Lounge from 6:30-9:30 PM. Located in the Keating Hotel in Downtown, Sway Lounge offers the ideal atmosphere to get your artistic juices flowing as we create uplifting cards for our Wish Kids.
The evening will kick off with the Star Azure, a summery Signature Cocktail designed especially for Make-A-Wish 3c . $2 from each Star Azure will go directly to Make-A-Wish! Tickets will be available soon: $20 in advance ($25 at the door) includes appetizers, one Star Azure, and a raffle ticket for a fabulous door prize! MAKE-A-WISH TUNA CHALLENGE
September 11 – 12, 2010 @ Silver Gate Yacht Club
Since 1991, the annual Tuna Challenge, hosted by the Silver Gate Yacht Club and founded by Kona Kai Anglers, has raised over $2 million to make wishes come true. The event is now the largest tuna fishing competition in the continental United States, and the largest fundraiser of the year for Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego. The 2009 Tuna Challenge took place September 12-13 and raised a phenomenal $259,000! The event is presented by San Diego County Credit Union. Visit www.tunachallenge.org for more details.

The 3rd Annual “Roll Out The Barrel,” will be presented by San Diego County Credit Union, and will feature wine and food sampling from artisanal wineries and local restaurants, silent and live auction, and entertainment.
