Wish Adopted by: The Amazing Race for Children’s Wishes
Although Brandy is battling a life-threatening heart defect, she is a typical teenager in every sense. She loves fashion, shopping, and spending time with her friends. Because her friends and family have been such a supportive force in her life, she chose a wish that all of them could enjoy – a big party. “My friends and family have supported me through all of my surgeries and treatments,” says Brandy. “I wanted to do something that I could share with all of them.”
This part was no ordinary party; it was an early “sweet sixteen” to take place on Valentine’s Day at her dream venue…the Hotel del Coronado. Her wish day began with pampering for Brandy and her best girlfriends, including pedicures, facials, hair styling and makeup. Then it was off for her grand entrance to her party and a night of dancing, laughing, friendship, family and memories.
The community generously stepped up to help grant Brandy’s wish.
